David Paki – Carving teacher, Tutor Director
Dave is a self-taught carver of bone, wood, stone and many other Maori and contemporary arts for the past nineteen years. He has been with Aranui High School for over 15 years and teaches classes from years 7 to 13 and adults. Some of his past students have started their own businesses developing their carving skills to a higher level. This course is extremely popular with international students who take their knowledge and skills home with them. He loves to share his knowledge with others and to further their skills in Maori and contemporary arts.
